I must admit, it took me a few listens to fully get into the latest album from Hot Toddy, aka Nottingham’s Chris Todd. On the first listen it didn’t fully grab me. Sometimes though, some of the best albums you don’t get right away. I’m always listening to tracks on sites such as Juno/Beatsport etc and thinking ‘naa, not my bag’, and then hearing them a month or two down the line, via mixes, second listens on other sites etc and then I find myself thinking about why I didn’t pounce on it earlier.
