Firecracker Recordings is a label and collective based in Edinburgh. Founder and owner Lindsay Todd began his DJ career in 1994, and cut his teeth at the legendary, now unfortunately defunct Edinburgh nights Tribal Funktion and Higher Ground, amongst some of the finest luminaries of the worldwide house and techno scene such as Cajmere, Derrick Carter and Gemini. He has gained huge respect over the years, renowned for his propensity for finding the right track for the right moment.

In 2004, Lindsay set up Firecracker Recordings, with an emphasis as much upon the artwork and overall presentation of the records as it was on the quality of the music. Harking back to the golden era of house music, with a huge nod to the Detroit and Chicago scene, Firecracker has firmly established itself amongst its peers as one of most talked about and respected underground labels, with support from the likes of Derrick May, Osunlade, Mike Clark, Mike Grant, Carl Craig, Danny Krivit, Ron Trent, Stacey Pullen, JazzySport DJs, DJ Spinna, Theo Parrish, Joe Claussell, Jazzanova, Shelter DJs, Lindstrom, Recloose, Idjut Boys, Moodymann and more.”
