Bit of a blast from the past with this mix, it’s Adam’s winning Muzik Magazine Bedroom Bedlam mix from way back in March 2003.

Adam a sparkly 21 – year old who lives in Northwich, Cheshire is carving out a distinctive niche at the more intelligent end of the deep house spectrum. “I started DJing four years ago after hearing Carl Cox at Space”, he says “I began by playing techno, but got funkier as I went along. It’s got to be funky, that’s the key.” His deep techy house mix impressed us with its blend of professionalism, cerebral funkiness and seamless mixing, making it the perfect warm up soundtrack. “I did it live with no edits”, Adam continues. “I can see why people think deep house is boring but you just need the right stuff. It’s the production that makes the difference.” Adam’s already begun to make a name for himself on the Mancunian scene by warming up for Tom Stephan at Sankeys Soap. With a few recorded tracks under his belt as well, he could well do the do. “I just want to get more experience playing out”, he says. “I just really want to get a weekly residency and get regular people listening to me.
