He may not have very good taste in football teams, but Gooner fan Luke Mckeehan’s taste in music certainly makes up for this as demonstrated with this great 3 tracker he has signed to his Nordic Trax imprint from Ireland’s Gavin Boyce. The Rooftop soul ep delivers two deliciously deep house tracks and one standout nu-disco influenced groover in the shape of the title track ‘Rooftop Soul’. Fantastic stuff and ‘Good Man yerself’.

The EP is the first release from Nordic Trax in just over 6 months and marks a welcome return for the Vancouver label.

Gavin Boyce’s previous releases for Nordic Trax have received widespread support from DJs including Laurent Garnier, Nacho Marco, Fish Go Deep, DJ Harri, Mazi and Kaskade. He has previous releases for Alphabet, Chillin’, Kolour and Shak, and can also be found recording as Untaken City. Future collaborations will see him team up with Chez Damier and JT Donaldson. His tracks have been licensed to OM Records and Ministry of Sound among others. Gavin lives in Waterford, Ireland, and regularly plays at the club nights Republik and Resistance alongside the likes of Mark Farina, Kerri Chandler and Charles Webster.
