nay_adam_idjWe dont get many mix cd’s from double acts, so Adam and Nathan’s two Homegrown discs were a bit of a treat. The dynamic duo always mix back to back, making for a kind of titanic tussle of gargantuan proportions (well kind of). Their styles are remarkably similar, though, so the mix flows incredibly well. The beats are funky (in a kind of tech house way), the sounds deep and the mixing sweet (some long drawn-out affairs, some punchy ‘ohh better drop the mix’ type changes, very few mistakes). Adam and Nathan have put on their own club night (called, unsurprisingly, Homegrown), and are determined to get more gigs. Promoters, take note – these two play some of the freshest sounds this side of Haverford West. Oh Yes.
